OK guys, just finished my lunch and decided to put this microwave theory to the test. Using the new $20 US bill.

I put a $20 in a plastic cup with water and also a $20 on the bottom of the microwave.

Nuked for 3 minutes. All I got was a wet $20 and a dry $20

RFID theory debunked.

Have a nice day :D

I think not said:
We should ask members from the UK if they are aware of that. It never hurts to confirm.

Oh yes. Apparently not just traffic wardens; Staff on the London Underground make up to 100 complaints per year about being spat upon. Conviction has proven difficult, so staff have been issued with so-called "spit kits" with which to preserve the evidence. It's basically just a pair of sterile latex gloves, a self-sealing bag and two sterile swabs to collect a sample to prevent the evidence being lost. Nothing hi-tech about that.

Of course it will only work where the culprit's DNA is already on the national database (i.e. previously convicted criminals). It's not compulsory for everyone to provide a sample. Yet. 8O

Doesn't sound as bad as that article tried to portray it. Stop reading that stuff mrmom, I actually have to work too ya know :p

Although I know governments would just looooove to control us. Hopefully we are all smart and active enough not to allow that.

Well I did the test for you (US Dollars) and didn't blow up. I was kind of hoping they would actually, I was in the mood for some fireworks.

Re: Google the micro q

read this story, but don't believe anything on the internet, trust no-one you don't love.

RFID tags appear to be in the eye of Andrew Jackson by the photos on this link. I believe it. Why waste any opportunity to track people. And the cash in large piles ,in places other than bank vaults, is usually crime-cash. When they see the big piles in strange places they can investigate. Maybe the RFID tags combine their signals when together , to send a stronger signal to the FBI

Sorry none of you had positive results - try it again on high for a bit longer. Me, I don't have money to waste, $20 could be another hit. [I make the buys for Rev.] 8)

Here is one more link from my Googling on mic-ing US dollars:

I Googled Microwave RFID U.S. dollars and found photos of the burning in Andrew Jackson's eye. What to believe - RFID tags in the money, magnetic strips for anti-counterfieting, you guys?

Maybe you'se who tried need to leave it in a bit longer? Are you sure it was done?

I believe the U.S. dollars are 'tagged', sure.
Probably more to track the money than the people though. Cash in large piles, not in bank vaults, is likely crime-cash, and they can investigate. Maybe there is a stronger signal when they are together - electronics experts?

Are they tracking individuals? YES. How they would do that with money, since you can get my $20 bill on any given day, I don't know.

BTW, its still bumping me offline, last time with this same message but with links,URLs. Oddly, I was not bumped off with the first post I made today, on topic not about tracking people!! Its a weird life here anymore eh?
