"Just ahead of Remembrance Day, a Canadian hero from the First World War is to be immortalized Wednesday in Halifax in the naming of the first of nine new patrol vessels for the Canadian Coast Guard.
Pte. James Peter Robertson was posthumously awarded the Victoria Cross for his "most conspicuous bravery and outstanding devotion to duty" in attacking enemy soldiers and saving the lives of several comrades during a battle in Belgium."
