So i recently moved to Canada...and I love it. The place is so peaceful and scenic and clean. Now i'm looking for a job, well in a couple of months at least. I had to return to my home country to organise some last minute details. In my country I am a high school teacher english and i did a post grad diploma in educational tech, but i want to get into interior design. i know i have to work to save money for school in the mean time i would ideally love to work in an interior design company even if it means as an administrative assistant.

i know that a couple of key schools are in vancouver but i have family in toronto so thats where i'm staying in the mean time. my short term goals are to get a stable job and an apt- after 5 6 years living on my own i need my personal space.

help me, pleaaaase.

Great..... another "import" looking for work when we already have enough Canadians looking for work...... just what we need.

oh dear, lol. i must this is the first negative remark i've experienced from a canadian.

but there is a lot of migration taking place worldwide, its going to balance out. besides there are places like alberta that are in need of workers. so its not that bad gerryh.

besides if you're secure about your qualifications and you're not just going through the motions in your position, you should feel secure, gerryh.

What country did you live in that has highschool English teachers that use such poor grammar?

Best of luck and all, but sheesh!

Secure is the key word. Some folks are simply insecure and I wouldn't worry too much about them. Welcome to Canada. Where to you plan to settle?

My condolences. Depending on your age, you might want to head west. The Prairie provinces are where the future is...specifically northern Manitoba, northern Saskatistan and northern Alberta. The southern portions will benefit though so any of the Prairie cities is a good bet.

It would seem that Unforgiven gives too much importance to an informal web forum. What was that you said about being secure?

i don't like hot dogs, so being around it all day might make me throw up. that's bad for business.
