Cosmo,

Your friends had a child but it is NOT a child from their relationship. It can't be.

My spouse and I have a wonderful relationship. Thanks for your interest.

Geez, Tibear ... you make it sound like herd of cattle.

Actually, purebred cows are almost always artificially inseminated and one of the basic clues as to when it's time to call the AI tech is that they start exhibiting what could be considered lesbian behaviour.

I don't want to get into how they get the semen the AI tech uses or how he gets it into the cow or tibear will start talking about people marrying cattle.

Your friends had a child but it is NOT a child from their relationship. It can't be.

I think most most of know people...gay and straight...who have children that aren't biologically related to one or either parent. i know that most of us would agree that it doesn't make a real difference in the end.

Your misinterpreting my post. I never said that SS couples couldn't be parents. Of course they can be parents.

The point is that the children of these people cannot ever be a result of the union of their "parents".

I recognize that many people have many different definitions for marriage and I put mine and many other peoples out there. We see a marriage as a union between two people where the natural outcome of the union is children. By this definition, which I realize you and many others will disregard, SS couples simply cannot have a "marriage".

PeaPod,

It is simply our understanding of marriage. Why is the word so "marriage" important to SS couples?? Like the Lesbian in the earlier post said, SS relationships are different so why should they be called the same as heter unions?
