We only seeded so only used about 9.4L fuel but yeah fertilizer and seed aren't cheap not to mention maintenance, land taxes, equipment payments, hydro, nat gas, and the hours spent in the tractor seat until your ass turns blue.


Hmmm...12,000,000 acres washed away in Saskatchewan alone, and at
$30 per acre (assuming all qualify for this $30) is about 1/3rd of the cost of
just the security for the G20 boondoggle.

Ridiculous isn't it? I would happily have given 1 billion to farmers opposed to the G20 wank fest between the scumbags of the earth.

The payout quoted is certainly not largesse. Farmers in Western Canada have been hit with one natural disaster after the other. It seems that the weather alternates between flood or drought, followed by plagues of grasshoppers and early frosts. I am surprised that most farmers have not gone under, especially considering the unfair competition from the USA and EU. $30 an acre? It should be $200.
