The Kyoto Accord is useless it's not even worth the paper it's printed on as long as other Countries will not follow it such as China and India. The Kyoto Accord only has a chance if all Countries get on board, good luck with that.

Leading environmentalists from across Canada say the opposition parties should defeat the government if it abandons the effort to meet Canada's Kyoto commitments.

Canadian voter pay attention to this true fact your health and your family’s health are more important than hating the Liberals. Harper is bad news when it comes to environmental policy. Fact is fact and one will never be able to argue true real fact.

Just for starters, the fact Harper does not buy into the idiot Kyoto plan does NOT mean he doesn't care about the environment.

The Americans are not signed on to Kyoto, but they have done a MUCH better job of cutting GHG than us.

Your header is misleading.

Good afternoon Paradox, I like your polite political attitude, it is clear you are a thinker and not an angry NEO CON, even though you love the Cons.

Five loves the Cons! :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Colpy, I have serious concerns regarding the environment in terms of the current Government of Canada. Fifteen environmental programs have been announced to be cut, and there are plans to decrease funding to Environment Canada by up to eighty percent (-80%).

I don't love the Conservative Party of Canada, Liberty — not by any stretch of the term. I am a supporter of the Liberal Party of Canada. The only issue I can think of in which I would be conservative (the adjective, not the party) would be in relation to reforms to our democratic institutions (for example, I oppose the direct election of the Senate and the Governor General of Canada).
So you believe to become the Governor General of Canada a person would have to run for that position and elected by the people? That would be interesting to see.
