Charles will be the next monarch when his mother dies, there's no doubt about that. There's no way the throne will skip Charles and go straight to William.

Unless Charles dies before his mother does.

It's not usual for the child to die before the parent but it does happen.

If Charles dies before the Queen I'll vote for the Liberal Democrats at the next local or national election and walk into a Govan pub with a Rangers shirt on and a little sign on my forehead saying "HENRIK LARSSON IS A TWAT."

And what f**king tea leaves have you been reading? Is Chucks continued existence guaranteed to surpass Lizzy's?

Now you are getting cheeky!

The throne could also skip Charles if he was a Catholic.

Well, I'm with you 50%. But I think it would be nice if he could also be useful! :) :)

"Useful" isn't a requirement for the job. In fact, "useless" would be preferred.

You can't be a monarchist and not support Charles as the next king. That's how the system works. If you think we should choose the monarch, you might as well be a republican.
