Gymkhana Coming To Calgary

A friend of mine who is a Snr Traffic Eng Tech for the City of Calgary was assigned the task of route planning for a Gymkhana motorsports event.

It should be quite the spectacle.

The car shed some weigh 'bout the 3:40 mark...

I can imagine although how many imitators have 400hp Ford Focuses?

I knew a guy who built a 300+hp Honda Civic here locally. Only weighed
about 1700lbs & powered by a 1.5L motor that looked like it should power
a large sewing machine. It was beyond...turbo'd to the snot. Wheel spin
(front wheel drive) was just stupid.

To put enough rubber on it to compensate for the wheel spin, it would only
drive in a straighish line on a track...but he could drive it to the track with
decent very mileage before he changed tires. No trailer baby.

Sold it to buy a trail bike & a few rifles. It was a crazy ride.
