I think A$$holes are pretty well evenly split among all political parties. Rabid members of ANY party are generally 100% A$$holes! -

Yes, there have been several sad instances in Nanaimo over the years, but Nanaimo is closing in on a population of 100,000 so is quickly attaining "big city" status. I've lived in Nanaimo (Chase River) and generally felt safe.
