Most of the problems in the oil patch are made in Canada.
You mean it's not all the fault of Obama and the mean, eee-vil Yanks? Oh dear. I'll have to let you and petros sort that out. Wouldn't want to interfere in your internal affairs.

Also don't need the headache from Curious's shrill whining.

Looking to our own interests. We actually have no obligation to buy something just because you want to sell it.

Not entirely true. We have a little thing called a free trade agreement so while you aren't obligated to buy what we sell, you can't put up artificial roadblocks in an attempt to stop us from selling. Now, I understand that agreement only matters to Muricans when it benefits themselves but that's another issue entirely

An agreement only matters to anybody when it benefits themselves. Sorry to burst your bubble, but Yanks aren't actually uniquely, deeply evil. Pretty much everybody does it.

Sorry to burst my bubble? You're confused. I don't view the Yanks as any different than anybody else. As for agreements, I'm quite fine with tearing up agreements that don't suit us. Times change. Just because we agreed to something 2, 20 or 200 years ago doesn't mean the arrangement is beneficial today. I just think you should get rid of it entirely or renegotiate. You shouldn't just ignore the parts you don't like anymore.

Average everyday Americans aren't uniquely, deeply evil. Corporate America is.

K, we're good. We will smoke the pipe, and there will be peace between us.

First off, Ontario manufacturing did get a boost and may still get some boosts because of a lower dollar.

But secondly, the emphasis of the dutch disease is not the relationship between manufacturing and the dollar, but rather resource development and the dollar in an economy where the energy sector is the primary industry.

And Mulcair shut up about it because it's bad for his party's popularity, not because he was wrong on the economics.
What "sort of" boost? $100,000,000 ransoms paid to Toyota?

If US and Japs aren't buying ON auto parts who will? GM China Ford China Fiat India?

How would you get these products to those markets?
