Like who? If people were unequally restricted to come to Canada that means we'd be unequal on the inside too.

Iran doesn't have to recognize Bahai as a religion. No nation has to license a religion if they don't want to.

And what about actively persecuting its members?

There are twenty five thousand Iranian Jews who refuse to leave Iran despite the best efforts of Israel. So your condemnation of Iran has to take a pass on that angle. Are the Bahai just the next best convieniently available special interest group with which to package and launch an internationalist PR attack against Iran?

It doesn't compare with the Jews of Iran. A long as they don't promote Zionism, the Jews of Iran, though not treated equally with Muslims, are still granted minimal rights. Perhaps that could be compared to Ontario's separate school system whereby one religious group is given special privileges over others, which though unfair and a violation of basic human rights, is certainly not equal to persecution in the strictest sense of the word. In the case of the Baha'is in Iran though, it is persecution and it goes way beyond simply giving Muslims privileged status as is the case with Jews in Iran or Catholics in Ontario. It doesn't compare.
