What we need to do is get real, but even the authorites who are now 'allowed' to speak about global warming publicy [on TV] are not saying "reduce fossil fuel emissions". There is still some taboo about fingering fossil fuels.
Mind you, methane plays a huge rols, but of what humans CAN do now about GW/CC [global warming, climate change] is reduce CO2 emissions, and those mostlky come from burning fossil fuels
Well, here is an article that does say it. Good. More please.....

Ahhhhhh, finally.
This article is about melting of polar ice, which the author predicts will be GONE by 2040. The results of that will be huge as the ocean levels rise and the currents change and then the land exposed will absorbv more sunlight/heat. Its not going to help us at all to ignore the actual cause and the one thing we can do to prevent more warming from the greehouse effect.

The only way to prevent the rapid loss of polar ice is to implement aggressive measures to reduce carbon-dioxide emissions resulting from the combustion of fossil fuels, Tremblay said.

- more at the link!!Scenarios simulated on supercomputers suggest sea ice could diminish enough within 20 years to speed the retreat of Arctic ice four-times faster than at any other time in the observed record.
