Haggis Recipe
  • 1 red deer stomach
  • 1 red deer liver
  • 1 red deer heart
  • 1 red deer tongue
  • 1 red deer brain (optional)
  • 250 g suet, minced
  • 3 medium onions, minced
  • 250 g dry wild oats, toasted
  • 15 mL sea salt
  • 15 mL ground black pepper
  • herbs to taste
Rinse the stomach thoroughly and soak overnight in cold salted water.

Rinse the liver, heart, brain, and tongue. In a large pot of boiling, salted water, cook these parts over medium heat for 2 hours. Remove and mince. Remove any gristle or skin and discard.

In a large bowl, combine the minced liver, heart, brain, tongue, suet, onions, and toasted oats. Season with salt, pepper, and dried herbs. Moisten with some of the cooking water so the mixture binds. Remove the stomach from the cold salted water and fill 2/3 with the mixture. Sew or tie the stomach closed. Use a turning fork to pierce the stomach several times. This will prevent the haggis from bursting.

In a large pot of boiling water, gently place the filled stomach, being careful not to splash. Cook over high heat for 3 hours.

How do they eat the hooves and the rest of what was tossed in the dumpster behind the abattoir that nobody in these parts would dare eat? Gelatin salad with lawn clippings and tree bark?

Seems to be the area that most of the bombing of people is happening: Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya.

Yeah. That's all Britain's fault, isn't it?

You seem to forget that the Canadians were in one or two of those countries as well.

Actually, we are singling out Brown and tan Deer, Alf.....\

Britain needs Apex predators. The Eurasian lynx restores the balance.

The lynx, just like the puma, has been spotted in the wild in Britain.

No. I didn't know that. Because it's not true.
The giraffe is related to deer and cattle, but is placed in a separate family, the Giraffidae, consisting only of the giraffe and its closest relative, the okapi.
Kingdom: Animalia

Phylum: Chordata

Class: Mammalia

Order: Artiodactyla

Family: Giraffidae

Genus: Giraffa

Species: G. camelopardalis

By Jove, you're right, old chap.

Perhaps Britain's McD's will upscale their menus?

In Scotland they deep-fry all their McDonald's food.

They love nothing better than a deep-fried Big Mac for lunch, and then a Stonner Kebab late at night after the pubs shut.

If you want to know what a Stonner Kebab is - it's been described as the world's most dangerous fast food, at 1,000 calories - then Google it.

We eat manly food here in Britain. None of that poncy girly stuff that our next-door neighbours the French each.
