I think that the CBC delivers some excellent broadcasting to the nation, and when I grow up (hehe), I would be happy to contribute revenue to upholding the station. From what I have seen, it is well worth the cost to citizens.
I haven't really seen enough of it to make a comment. I only watch it now and then when I am roaming around Canada. I've heard it's a Liberal mouthpiece (from Canadians), does that help?
The CBC is Pro Liberal and Bias to Conservatives. They also have the reject from Much Music "George Stroumboulopoulos" with his own Show "The Hour" who rants with his Anti-American, Anti-Conservative Views.
The CBC is obviously bias, anyone who cannot see that is either willfully ignoring it or just to stupid to see it. I am a right winger and I can admit right wing bias on news stations such as FoxNews. The majority of CBC workers (from Anchor's to Cameraman) are liberal votes, and there have been surveys proving this. The CBC is also a crown corporation which means it uses our tax dollars to unfairly compete and thus spreads government propaganda.....
I believe the Conservative government said that they would also continue to unfaily subsidize the CBC as well, but having said that you still can't see the bias? They (CBC) know who their real base and support comes from, so it's is obvious which way they are going to lean. Thus we have a govt crown corporation which uses our tax dollars to support a specific political party.
