that's got to be a humboldt squid. They change colours with their "mood". Probably don't taste as good as the little ones though.

Humboldt's are in the sea of cortez. There are giant squid elsewhere too.

Last time I was in Port Hardy, I had calamari in a lemon pepper batter that was then added to the top of a cesar salad. It was amazing. Absolutely amazing. simple. so simple, but so amazingly good.
