How do I dare say this to you moronic war supporters who are "Supporting our Troops" and waving the flag and all that happy horse ****? I'll tell you why. I'm a Marine and I served my tour in Iraq. My husband, also a Marine, served several. I left the service six months ago because I got pregnant while he was home on leave and three days ago I get a visit from two men in uniform who hand me a letter and tell me my husband died in that ****ing festering sand-pit. He should have been home a month ago but they extended his tour and now he's coming home in a box. You ****ers and that god-damn lying sack of **** they call a president are the reason my husband will never see his baby and my kid will never meet his dad.

There is no "Draft". People join voluntarily. When they join they know that they will get training so that they have the ability to kill other human beings. The husband would have had to re-inlist at some point to serve that many terms there. If you put yourself in harms way, you can not blame others when it does in fact catch up to you. Unfortunately, we need some people to be willing to do the job, but they certainly should understand that they may forfeit their life.

Well, I'm sure they understand that, being Marines and all, but that doesn't diminish the grief one would feel. Anger is the most common emotion when someone you love dies. It always takes something to change someone's mind about an issue, maybe the loss of her beloved and father of her unborn child has made her see things differently. My sympathies to her.
