Yeah, it certainly isn't as easy to use as windows or mac. In fact, there is little to no reason for the average user to use it. Linux has come a long way in usability but it as a desktop OS it is still for the techies more or less.

Agreed, it has come a LONG way since even redhat, but it isn't there yet.

One could look at Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7 and say they are all not there.. I use Windows and have Linux as an alternative as explained on trays but on my Laptop its not an option I must have Windows so it has to be XP due to business software that cannot run Vista or 7 yet..

No one is personally pushing the product on you and free means you can play with it without a cost if you so wish. Depending on the amount of time you wish to invest, it really is up to you to make the best of it..

Why wait for someone to make a "black version" for you? Black versions usually mean that some services have been disabled and windows bloat removed. Windows 7 is already pretty lean comparatively, there is not as much to strip out as previous versions.

exactly, services with holes, and bloat to make it take less space.

i just installed retail of windows 7... JUST the system no software yet, 10.9 gigabytes...

Windows 7 Black... hurry.
