Okay.....so the Purple Heart is awarded to those injured or killed while serving. Shouldn't the benefits automatically kick in then? I mean, what kind of games are they playing here?

It is for injuries received in combat or a terrorist attack. I thought the benefits would come along with the medal but who knows what the army brass is doing.

That's what's confusing. If it's something they've designated as being worthy of a Purple Heart, you'd think the benefits would go along with it.

Makes them look cheap and sketchy.
