The former ISIS sex slaves waging war on their abusers: Hundreds of Yazidi women form an all-female battalion called the 'Sun Ladies' to launch massive assault on Mosul
500 Yazidis take up arms after escaping horrific abuse at the hands of ISIS
Driven by collective desire for revenge and to preserve future of their race
They were captured when ISIS slaughtered thousands of their sect in 2014
Have teamed up with Kurdish forces to launch operation to retake Mosul

Hundreds of former ISIS sex slaves have joined an all-female battalion to launch a massive assault against their abusers in Iraq.

The Yazidi women – who call themselves the 'Force of the Sun Ladies' – have taken up arms in the quest for revenge but also to preserve the future of their race.

They are among around 2,000 captives who have escaped their jihadi tormentors who subjected them to horrific torture and rape and massacred thousands of their loved ones after storming their villages in the summer of 2014.

Now, driven by a collective desire for vengeance, the battalion is preparing for an offensive on the ISIS stronghold of Mosul where many were exchanged by militants to serve as their sex slaves.

Hell hath no furry like a woman scorn! Good for them, I hope they give ISIS the full scope of their wrath.

Blessed are the meek, for maybe they've had enough.

Makes you wonder if they can stand up against what they've gone through and go after those that perpetuated such horrible and horrifying acts on them, then why are the able bodied men leaving too? and in larger numbers then those victimized and standing up.

It's a good thing to hear and a long time coming.

Long overdue why are the Americans and the rest not putting up the money for
all the ammo they can supply. Move over world court who does nothing and watch
what happens when people settle their own scores and its long overdue.
I hope they kill the ISIS boys and pin a tag on them hunted by a woman nice on the
toe tag eh?

These women could just be what is needed to galvanize further action. I'm hoping this is only the first story we hear about. I hope we hear about the able bodied men doing what they can to stop this threat.

The Kurdish Peshmerga is well trained and financed since they actually profited from the war through taking the oil fields up in that region. They were the ones who abandoned the Yazidis as well as Christians in that area. As I have said enough times on this forum, quoting the famous conservative principle of pouring money into a problem won't solve it. The USA has given them billions in arms and money - now it's time for them to do their own fighting with all the means they have already gotten.

I was speaking of giving money training and arms to the women not the Kurds
I want to see these women get revenge and open to the door to vigilante justice
it just might spur the civilian populations to rise up against the tribal groups of
men who have played little power games for two long. But seeing ISIS fighteter
lose their ba*ls quite literally would be entertainment after the things they have
done
