You know that what I say makes sense. You're thinking; "Actually, Blacleaf is making some good points here." But, of course, you're never going to admit it to me.
The fact that children in Germany are deemed old enough to consent to sex at 14 yet in Britain they AREN'T deemed capable of consenting to sex at the age of 15 is, quite frankly, bizarre and shows that, in all likelihood, the age of consent in Britain is too high. Either that, or German girls and boys mature faster, physically and mentally, than British girls and boys.
It's also noticeable that Britain, with its age of consent at 16, has just about the highest teenage pregnancy rate in Europe, whereas teenage pregnancy rates in Italy and Germany, with age of consent at 14, are much lower.
So you believe that German children mature faster than Canadian and British children?
Why are children in Germany considered mature enough to have sex with anyone of any age at 14 yet children in Canada and Britain aren't deemed mature enough to be able to have sex with anyone of any age until the age of 16? What accounts for this strange anomaly?

A person who is nineteen years old can have consensual sex with someone fourteen years old, or older, and someone who is twenty years old can have consensual sex with someone fifteen years old, or older. Sixteen is only the general age of consent.
The law is designed to protect young people from predators (like you, apparently) who think that anyone who's hit puberty is fair game. A good number of fourteen-year-old teens are sexually active; of course they are, nobody is disputing that. But they should be protected from those who would take advantage of them. Shamed footballer Adam Johnson was jailed for six years yesterday for intimately touching a 15-year-old schoolgirl.
Johnson was sacked by Sunderland FC last month after pleading guilty, at the start of his trial at Bradford Crown Court, to sexual grooming and kissing the teenager.
But questions are already being asked as to whether six years was really the right sentence for Johnson.
