Mass shootings is political when the Reform/Conservatives come in to power Paul Martin had worked out a good deal with the aboriginals which Harper canceled. Eight years of aboriginal neglect only acting when forced to. Third world conditions on reserves with a high dropout rate from schools and a higher concentration of aboriginals in prison. Trudeau will make it better and the chief of the First Nations knows it.

Of course it is not the fault of the a-s-s-wipe who did the shooting.

This is beyond tragic, and it will never make any sense. I can't fathom what the parents and families of the dead are going through. You send your child to school and they don't come home. It's too surreal of a situation to even speculate about.

According to the news 2 teachers and 2 younger brothers died which is a tragedy now if the previous Conservative government tried their hardest for the 8 years the were in power to help the aboriginals instead of doing little this would not have happened

Why don't you keep your blather in the derail thread where it belongs?

Have you no sensitivity or sympathy or respect for life at all? STFU and show some damned respect by keeping your issues somewhere else. Damn are you evil or just stupid?

La Loche has had its problems over the years. I used to do road maintenance up there, spraying the gravel roads with calcium to keep the dust down in the summer. My company spends about four or five days up there every year.

One summer we were told by some of the locals that a gang of young bucks were coming out to rob us, but it never happened. On another occasion there was a a pickup truck full of young native men who came out to try and intimidate us. Mostly posturing, which amounted to a short lived stand off. Outsiders aren't all the welcome in La Loche.

I believe the RCMP were under siege there at one point.

Very sad about this. Young teacher and students wasted senselessly.

Awful... We make it seem like school shootings are an American problem... Unfortunately, gun laws can only protect us so much... May those who lost their live's memory be a blessing.

When I've been up there myself the guy who worked at the gas bar said whites weren't welcome. Even first nations from Ontario aren't warmly received there

As someone who lost a child to crib death, every time I hear a story like this
i unfortunately know what the parents are going through right now. This
is a situation where nothing a parent can do will be of any value the child is
gone and the memory and feeling is triggered with each shooting and
there ain't nothing can be done. Scenes like this play out and it angers me
to the core and in the midst of that a sprinkle of sadness.
Now can some understand what is going on in a few homes tonight?
And who the hell cares if its a native home or some other home?
Yesterday families lost their child regardless of age and the family of the
shooter are also reluctant victims they lost a child too. To the justice system
the family is guilty of nothing, in fact what I heard is he shot family members
before the school Honestly sometimes we have to think about what we say
in our first reactions to these situations.
I would also like to suggest by volunteer or legislation we not mention the name
of any mass murderer or group or gang it gives them prestige and life
