This is what we need now - the hard facts of worst-case scenarios plus real and logical solutions that do not pander to the whims of the wealthy elite oil interests.

The fossil fools [oil people] will insist on a centralised energy system like we have now, instead of "renewables on site" that gives the added protection of having power when the grid is down. So, those fossil folls have to go, we do not have time to let them slow down installations of renewable energy systems that will ultimately be what runs our world in the future.

Chavez is the main proponent of using oil revenues to build solar and wind power systems. Imagine PM Harper trying to do that - and since he is hamstrung by his corporate connections, we have to get rid of him in an election soon. ["oh ya, but the Libs didn't do it last time" cry will go out, but remember who resisted them in trying to ratify Kyoto, which is just a minimum starting point].

The public is starting to get a taste of how good it is to save our world. Lets hope nobody gets in their way, especially our leaders.

If the oil companies were really clever they would invest their multi-billions into promoting and manufacturing green alternate energy sources. It appears that the weather will for some time, be a great, growing source of customer motivation. The main negative I see, is that the oil companies would again be in charge of something important to our future.

One more thought: If governments can sue tobacco companies because of all the medical problems associated with smoking, they should be able to sue oil companies for their part in global warming. Oil companies have been a force against the acceptance of global warming for years.

The problem with that is that we have only accelerated what was going to happen anyway, we are not a cause, we are an additive. The bit about tobacco is that the companies and their product are causal.

Here goes another repetitive non-listening thing....

There's posts in the 7 ways to save the world. Search through the thread:
"7 ways to save world" and find the post with....

How to inform/converge such a population into gradual accepting of the past and the future events of such things

See especially 3.

1. a) Price control on products.

It goes until 10. I think
