Throwing bottles, stones and heavy iron shackles at people is my definition of violence.
So, what rough, tough Briddish fisherman call "violence" is three or four orders of magnitude more pussified than Saturday night at a gay bar in Orlando.

No wonder y'all can't win a war on your own.

So your 99.7% figure is based on comprehensive ignorance?

Hardly surprising, just about everything you say is.

Is it ignorance? I've never been to Worcestershire but I know it's a quiet, peaceful, rural county famous for its delicious black pears which feature in its county cricket club's crest.

I know America is a violent place, with loads of murders and gun crimes, yet I've never been there.

Precisely. You think in ignorant stereotypes.

Yes, absolutely. There's no violence in Worcestershire, and every American is violently assaulted every day.

Worcestershire = peaceful; little crime; almost no murders in a country with one of the world's lowest murder rates; nobody shot dead there probably within living memory.

America = not peaceful; lots of crime; a vast murder rate; hundreds of people shot every DAY.

In 2011, 11,101 people were shot dead in America. In the same year, a grand total of 17 people were shot dead in Britain. America's population is five times that of Britain approximately, so even by taking that into account and multiplying 2011's British figure by five to take into account that discrepancy it would still give a figure of just 85 gun deaths in the UK for 2011 - nearly 131 times lower than in the US.

So Worcestershire's not peaceful all the time?

See? You're learning. Painfully slowly, but that's what we've come to expect from you

It's a peaceful, rural county. The UK itself is far more peaceful than America. You will likely be shot whilst walking down the street later.

The first statement is a stereotype, and therefore untrue. The second statement is true. The third is either a deliberate lie, or just the meaningless babble of an ignoramus.

It's not a stereotype. It's true.

And you are likely to be shot whilst walking down the street in America. Very likely. I, here in Britain, am more likely to be struck by lightning twice in one day than to be shot. Most of us have never even seen a gun in real life.

Your ignorance is kinda cute.
