Very interesting.

A San Francisco native found a treasure trove of early photographs of World War 1 taken by his great-grandfather (now deceased) as well as some stereographs (experimental photography to add depth-of-field to images). I thought you guys might like this. All images are taken in France between 1914 and 1918.

Very interesting! A real treasure trove. Horses were very much part of the war.
My father was a soldier in the First WW and got shot in the arm! After that he had to guard a bunch of Russian prisoners on a big farm back in Germany, where he met my mother.
