True, but since discrimination accusations are usually levelled by the less-powerful at the more-powerful, it'd be hard to make them stick if it were a crime. It would also open up the accuser to the perils of false reporting.

Maybe if discrimination had been treated as a crime, it wouldn't have become the go-to whimper it has become in Canada, if this board is to be believed.

Unfortunately, discrimination laws are discriminatory in who they actually protect from discrimination, which isn't everybody.
