At the moment, on May 9th, when President Trump abruptly fired the F.B.I. director James Comey, Trump was not under investigation. He very well may be under investigation now.

Of his firing, Comey said, “The Administration chose to defame me and, more importantly, the F.B.I. by saying the organization was in disarray, that it was being poorly led, that the workforce had lost faith in its leader. Much ado about nothing , this makes Duffygate look practically earth shattering in comparison . The press will continue to peddle this false narrative as it is all they have . Nothing but salt for the democratic supporters who were expecting impeachable material . Not a fun day at all , but expect lots of knashing of teeth , safe spaces and salt . I am having a fine day .

trump was a huge loser before. trump firing Comey was not out of character for someone like trump and nobody listening to trump or reading his tweets should be surprised he'd do such a thing.
The surprise would have been had trump turned out to have a russian dosier on someone hugely important or hillary and was unwilling to use it to ruin them and then got busted by Comey for having for it. THAT's a surprise.
I think the presidency, for trump, was a brilliant business move. If he can keep his nose clean in front of those who've supported him, he and his family will have business contacts, avenues, resources, connections that he could never have achieved without. The Democrats wanted Comey gone prior to the election based on his investigation (and flip flopping) on the Hilary Clinton investigation.

I'm not worried for either trump or the clintons. I'm interested in learning what comes from the whole thing. picking a side is not really what I'm going for.
