Boomer, you've got to be kidding me. Do you really believe Sweden is some US puppet?

Sweden would not send Assange to the US unless there was a strong case for it in international law.

And as for the idea that the US was involved in framing Assange for rape, seriously? i'm not saying it's not possible, but it would take a pretty stupid US agent to come up with the 'brilliant' idea of trying to pull such a stunt with all of th ediplomatic risks involved to the US.

Granted, the US has done some really stupid things in teh past, but nothing this stupid yet.

Sweden already stated that if he was convicted, upon release he would be sent to Ecuador. If found innocent, sent to Ecuador.
This is old news.

The rape charges came out right after he released sensitive information about US Government.. coincidence, conspiracy .. maybe. But both proven to be false and dropped. humm

Behind by about 2 days.
Now he will have to face charges in the UK of skipping bail. Then they will send him to the US.

Or he can stay in the Embassy till he needs urgent medical attention.

Or they can try to smuggle him out of the UK. Good luck with that one.

Back to the OP though, it would still be in everyone's interest for the EU and the USA to put this behind them and still promote a free-trade deal, though possibly with some restrictions and pentalties for spying built into the agreement along with controls in place.
