Ebay shipping out of control!

I have not used Ebay in a while but today I checked it out for something I couldn't seem to find anywhere else and the shipping to Canada was outrageous!

The cost of shipping is the same cost at some items!

No wonder Amazon is crushing them.

Anyone else have this same experience with shipping in or to Canada?

Yes, I know.

I suppose that people are trying to make money on the shipping when selling their items, instead of just pricing the item accordingly.

See if you can arrange pick up with UPS. A lot cheaper when you have an account.

I noticed that with several items. Mostly I only order parts and the odd tool online, but Ebay shipping charges have often doubled the delivered price. To the point where local suppliers can compete.
