Poor Backhead can't stomach the fact that his white racist bigotry has been shattered by this revelation.

Yeah. It's turned me into a non-racist.

However, I do believe I'm displaying more than a modicum of commonsense in saying that you can't deduce skin colour of most of a population just on the basis of one skeleton.

What makes me laugh is that when it's revealed that Cheddar Man was black the British media, such as The Daily Mail, celebrate it, saying things like "that'll show those racist Brexit-voting bigots."

But when, at the same time, a facial reconstruction of Egyptian pharaoh Nefertiti shows she was fair-skinned rather than black (Ancient Egypt being a very multicultural society), the British press come out and say, absurdly, that it is "controversial".

That what you believe was claimed is not what was actually claimed, obviously.

That's not the false claim I was referring to.

I was obviously referring to the false claim that I quoted in your post.

The one about how the OP headline makes a sweeping generalization about the skin colour of all humans during a certain period of time when, semantically, it doesn't.

Do I really need to point out something so obvious?

Course it does. Even the title of this thread does

Are you sure you understand English?

The thread title doesn't imply that all humans during this period were black and neither does the linked article.

That was just your triggered, kneejerk reaction.

It doesn't imply that either.

It implies that they may not all have been white during that period.

I know what it implies... and so so you.

Actually it's obvious you don't. I made that the title to state that early Britains, despite people believing they were white, weren't all white after all.

Oh, and BTW

Ancient DNA Shows That Pottery-Loving Beaker People Took Over Britain Around 4,500 Years Ago | IFLScience

From the article:

The study also revealed that Steppe-origin Beaker people were among the first British Isles inhabitants to carry genes for light skin and pale hair. Because they belonged to the dominant group in the area, these genes eventually won out as the beaker people mingled with the 10 percent of Britons who remained, many of whom were likely quite darkly pigmented.

Again, seems like early Britians weren't so white after all.

Well that's immigration for you. A wave of white immigrants came to the country long ago and turned the country white. Of course, immigration policy in the Mesolithic and Neolithic eras have no bearing on Britain's immigration policy today. Immigration still needs to be massively cut.

LOLOL!

So instead of actually saying "Well damn, okay, maybe Britain wasn't so white after all, my bad", you come out with this?

Wanker.
