I have no idea which is better, but from the posts here I would certainly check the neighborhood
residents to see if there is a comparison

My primary question would be: How long do they take to fix a problem?

I don't even watch television that often but I want to have it available as we pay whether it is working or not....(or do they take off down time costs?).....

Even as I type this my television will probably go off the air .....:sad10:

Do you have cable TV or Satellite?

I have had both...right now I am renting so cable is all I can have unless I want to donate the dish to the next person....

The Satellite people advertised 24 hour call repair.... but the answering service didn't cut it and that wasn't a valid repair anyway.... I wasn't pleased but that could be the company itself....

I don't know enough about the differences and the cable is really good where I am with the mountains around....which makes Dishing it kinda wobbly.....

In really nasty weather everything goes down in the electrical department anyway and we have a local joke about keeping all the new flashlight gadgets at the ready.....so it wouldn't matter what I had when the television isn't receiving. Thank god for independently juiced radios ....

Mountains and mini earthquakes which necessitate realigning the dish on occasion....when it gets too far off for good viewing....

Like living on a mound of jello!

I would be going for cable as well if I had to realign the dish more then once a year.

It's funny that one of the largest US satellite operations is based out of mountainous Colorado... Echostar.
