For several years I've been downloading pictures from my wife's digital camera directly to Picasa 3 without a problem. Now I'm finding nothing happens when I try to down load. How would I go about trying to find the problem?. I would greatly appreciate any help. Thank you.
I've gotten into the habit 15 years ago when downloading or importing digital pictures to just copy or cut and paste them to the folder of my choice. All those programs I use such as Nero, Picassa or Photoshop are very are very intrusive and take over, yo end up with several copy of the same photo or video all over your PC and
if you have glitch that you need to uninstall and reinstall a program you run the risk of loosing everything when they are in tha program's specific folder....
I like to have control of my PC, not have some program controlling it.
Just yesterday, after working with open Office on a spread sheet on a memory stick (I keep all important documents on a memory stick) when I went to eject it, it wouldn't because it said a program was still working on a document and I had to save the document to desk-top and forcibly eject it. After several tries I had to Uninstall and reinstall Open Office to fix it. (now I keep a copy of the downloaded and open program in a special folder so I can use the "repair" option)
Edit: I just checked.....No repair option in Picassa ....
