A good living on welfare? Wow, either your standards for a good life are incredibly low or all the poverty and illness due to no medical coverage are a fabrication.

My standards are high... therefor I work.

Medical Coverage! Seriously? The so called "poor" are covered 100%... FULL MEDICAL COVERAGE... and they don't pay a dime. They have been covered 100% for decades now.

And the U.S version of "poverty" is so much different than the rest of the world. If you cannot live a middle class life on your own... you're poor. So our country and states pay for the so called "poor" to have middle class lifestyles. Our "poor" are the most obese class of all society. And I bet they all have AC, flat screens, and cable TV.

Really because from what I see on Facebook people frequently don't go to the doctor because they cannot afford to.

I'll tell them it's all free. They'll feel so much better.

I also hope for your sake that if you should ever become ill, that your benefits cover it all, because frequently it doesn't.

They are, yes. Your poor are obese because they do not have access to groceries stores that have produce. Costs less at the local convenient store to load up on carbs and chocolate bars. Sad really because in many cases obese people are also malnourished. Ironic isn't it?

  • AC - no,
  • flat screens, - yes count on it, probably large ones if possible
  • cable, - not likely unless they can piggyback from someone's paid existing but that is hard to do, my neighbour below me tried to piggyback off of mine... it cuts off, systems are now sophisticated.

Oh please... you go on Facebook and that's what they say?

FACT... The "poor" are covered 100%.

Oh I'm not poor. I cannot go on public assistance so I have to buy my Health Insurance.

It frequently doesn't cover it huh? I have a family and we do see doctors and have got sick or injured and we've been covered.

BTW... are you going to make up anything else today?

They are, yes. Your poor are obese because they do not have access to groceries stores that have produce.
BAAAAHAHA!

Another myth created by the libs to justify the "poor" for being the most obese class in the US.

They're obese because they can buy WHATEVER THEY WANT. Chips, Ice Cream, junk food... FAST FOOD. I see it in the grocery stores quite often. Carts FILLED with processed microwave junk. They have plenty of access but most are so lazy it's easier to buy prepared and processed food rather than produce that actually needs to be prepared.

And as I said... FAST FOOD chains. They ALL accept EBT cards. McD's, Pizza joints, Sub joints, KFC... EBT CARDS ACCEPTED HERE.

Costs less at the local convenient store to load up on carbs and chocolate bars. Sad really because in many cases obese people are also malnourished. Ironic isn't it?
Cost less? When has money been an object as of late. They get more and more entitlements each year.

They probably are malnourished. That is what happens when they have the means to live off whatever they chose to eat. If the government were to limit what they could spend their food stamps on ALL Holy Hell would break loose.

Seems then there are a lot of misinformed Americans.

I am glad all of your families needs were covered. What I am noticing about you, is that you like to use a sharp edge and are frequently rude when answering. That is too bad because I actually like to discuss issues especially with people who have opposite opinions to me. I find that when the exchange is respectful people can grow from it and learn why others see things as they do. Must be my age but rudeness barely raises my blood pressure any more but it certainly diminishes my regard for person delivering the message.

And that is all you could come up with?

I am glad all of your families needs were covered.

And I paid for it with money I earned. What a concept.

Ahhh... it is getting a little hot in here for you. Facts are hard to accept when they are contrary to what you have been fed to all these years.

If memory serves it is the working poor and lower middle class that traditionally have had problems with access to medical care in the US. Make too much money for medicade and not enough to buy their own coverage.

It all depends... if they were working for a company who had health coverage or not. Most companies do. When I had a job at Burger King as a teenager I was covered under a health care plan after six months if I can remember correctly.

Keep in mind... if you have a job... under Obamacare you're paying for Health Insurance. It's just another bill that must be paid.

And this just in....

IRS: Cheapest Obamacare Plan Will Be $20,000 Per Family | CNS News

20K for the cheapest plan in 2016. Obamacare comes in like a lamb but as the years go by the cost will grow higher as well as the penalties for not getting a plan.

- A Canadian blogger who appropriately at least in today's cold snap goes by the name bigfurhat posted this very incisive list of the insane observations that are considered as gospel by the lunatic left wing fringe and by the government troughers who make a living off such insanities:

TOP-11 “ONLY IN AMERICA” OBSERVATIONS — BY A CANADIAN*
1) Only in America could the rich people – who pay 86% of all income taxes – be accused of not paying their “fair share” by people who don’t pay any income taxes at all.
2) Only in America could people claim that the government still discriminates against black Americans when they have a black President, a black Attorney General, and roughly 18% of the federal workforce is black while only 12% of the population is black
3) Only in America could they have had the two people most responsible for our tax code, Timothy Geithner, the head of the TreasuryDepartment and Charles Rangel who once ran the Ways and Means Committee, BOTH turn out to be tax cheats who are in favor of higher taxes.
4) Only in America can they have terrorists kill people in the name of Allah and have the media primarily react by fretting that Muslims might be harmed by the backlash.
5) Only in America would they make people who want to legally become American citizens wait for years in their home countries and pay tens of thousands of dollars for the privilege while we discuss letting anyone who sneaks into the country illegally just ‘magically’ become American citizens.
6) Only in America could the people who believe in balancing the budget and sticking by the country’s Constitution be thought of as”extremists.”
7) Only in America could you need to present a driver’s license to cash a check or buy alcohol, but not to vote.
8) Only in America could people demand the government investigate whether oil companies are gouging the public because the price of gas went up when the return on equity invested in a major U.S. oil company(Marathon Oil) is less than half of a company making tennis shoes(Nike).
9) Only in America could the government collect more tax dollars from the people than any nation in recorded history, still spend a Trillion dollars more than it has per year – for total spending of $7-Million PER MINUTE, and complain that it doesn’t have nearly enough money.
10) Only in America could politicians talk about the greed of the rich at a $35,000.00 a plate campaign fund-raising event.
11) Only in America can a man with no background, no qualification sand no experience … and a complete failure at his job … be re-elected.
The fur hat is wrong. Stuff like that (some of it, at least) happens elsewhere on the planet.
Um, puzzles me as to who would take a big fur hat seriously anyway. I didn't even know hats could talk or type.
