After the Force be with me, I never really did work. I sort of played at it. Hell the trucks just got a lot bigger than the sandbox. Then, I had a run-in with a fire hose....

If not for that beating, I'd have been content to look at the world through a windshield for the rest of my life. Now the work is to stretch a month's worth of pension so it lasts for a month's worth of days. Guess as long as there's something to laugh at (even if it is ME sometimes)

Dunno that I'll live to be 65. It would be nice to retire at that age. But, I do not have medical insurance and have a long history of medical problems. If I reach that age, I hope to be reasonably healthy.

Retirement does not mean boredom as there are lots of good books to read, there's cable TV, lots of oldies on radio, and there will always be the local high school sports teams to watch. Hopefully, Social Security will not be bankrupted by those idiot Republicans.

I hope Obama/democrats will have started something going soon to give everyone
medical coverage, I hope, I hope. McCain won't do it, they don't give a damn about you,
but they certainly have great coverage for themselves.

That's right, there is so much to smile/laugh about, and, yeah, i'm usually laughing at myself. It's hard to make the money stretch, especially as the food is becoming so
expensive. Our WCB pension allows us to have a little more, so, I guess it's been a blessing, and as my husband says, it takes some of the pain away.

The screw of this is that mandatory retirement was brought in to give jobs to boomers, now that it's their turn their squealing that they shouldn't have to.

The me me me me me generation all the way into the grave. Pathetic.
