It's a start, as long as the public catches on like recycled paper, if the consumer doesn't support it is all for not.
I just wondered because you seem to piss and moan about every idea everybody comes up with. Logically, that means you think right here, right now, is the best that can ever be.

An easy way to ensure stuff gets recycled is to put deposits on it and to require the item gets cleaned out ........................................
BY THE CONSUMER BEFORE being returned for deposit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Making the CLEANING of containers a requirement would GREATLY REDUCE any problem with storing the containers for periods of time while a load was being assembled!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
One major objection super markets had in the past with recycling proposals was their CONCERN with mice and rats being attracted to the food waste in dirty containers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And in light of the recent rat problem in Toronto , it seems likely the market operators were RIGHT not to want dirty containers stored on their properties!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Of course such a requirement to clean containers before returning them would INCREASE the amount of natural gas we use to produce the hot water needed for cleaning!!!!!!!!
And of course it would mean MORE WASTE WATER being directed to our sewage treatment plants that are already being allowed to DELIBERATELY OVER FLOW after every rain storm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
