It has come out that our civil servants have been told to provide fodder to the Harper government’s wish to make terrorism a big issue in Canada.

An issue big enough that we don’t notice the horrific mishandling of our economy and tax system.

Harper used the Ottawa shooting to push through bill C-51 stripping Canadians of more of their civil liberties. Even more important to the Harperites is the spread of fear, fear of terrorism. They are counting on Canadians to be more worried about terrorism than the economy.

In the true spirit of the Orwell classic 1984 bureaucrats were told to provide Rob Nicholson 3 terrorist related statements per week.

All part of Harper’s plan to make terrorism a big boogie man for Canadians.

Are we surprised? This government is a true believer in telling the ‘noble lie’ to Canadians in order to maintain their hold on power and thus what they see as social order.

In 1984 the government is suspected of bombing it’s own citizens with ‘steamers’ (rocket bombs), to maintain power and constant fear.

A 'terrorist' attack in Canada right now could be music to the ears of the Conservative election machine or it could show us that even with draconian measures like Bill C-51, they can't protect us from everything.
