Not familiar with that one.
I don't drink whisky, but all of my friends who are into Irish say it's incredible. They say it's between Greenore (very dry and spare) and Redbreast (very rich and fruity). They call it the perfect level of "richness" (is that right? I'm not sure about the term).

Anyway, give it a try. As I said, my friends who are into Irish say it's amazing.

Bad political move.

Not only is it bad optics, it can also lower confidence in the market.

Deficit projection leads NDP to call for emergency meeting

The New Democrats are calling for a mid-summer finance committee meeting to discuss "the weakening Canadian economy," and they want Joe Oliver to be there to answer questions.

NDP finance critic Nathan Cullen is leading the charge, writing committee chair James Rajotte, a Conservative MP, to request the meeting and the appearance by the finance minister.

In his letter, Cullen notes the revised budget projections by the parliamentary budget officer that suggest Canada will see a $1-billion deficit at the end of the year.

"This is a significant deviation from the Budget 2015 estimate of a $1.4 billion surplus," wrote Cullen, the committee's deputy chair.

"I believe it is important for parliamentarians to examine the impacts of this dramatic shift in government finances and the weakening Canadian economy."

Parliament's standing orders, or rules, require a committee chair to call a meeting within five days of getting requests from any three members of the committee. The MPs need 48 hours' notice, so the earliest the meeting could happen is Tuesday, according to the NDP.

The NDP's other finance committee members, Pierre Dionne Labelle and Raymond Coté, have also requested a meeting.

While the rules say the committee has to meet once three members make the request, it's not a given that Oliver would have to appear.

0.3% is bad? Once the Energy East completed and we eliminate imports from US we'll be sitting pretty and ON will recover. We can produce, process and sell our oil internally all seperate from the US petrodollar making pure gravy using our dollar.

Without the Fed bailouts in ON how bad would it be now? We were damn lucky to have the overinflated OPEC oil to have the cash to do that and to build Western Canadian infrastructure.

Liberals and Cons masterminded and backed Asia Pacfic Gateway and Harper is doing an excellent job carrying it through all while being under economic attack from Obama and the Arabs. We are really lucky the US hasn't blocked the transportation corridor through the US to newly constructed and newly expanded BC ports intended to get ON goods to the Pacific.

Since US isn't buying ON goods we've opened up reliable high capacity shorter route south of the lakes to get ON goods to Asia by sea can. That was impossible just a decade ago. Western Canada is Canada's future.

Both Libs and Cons get my kudos for finally opening western Canada to world markets and investment.

We are building big for or future.

let's see now.... we are looking at a POSSIBLE billion dollar deficit, which the Cons have budgeted for by putting aside a billion dollars into a contingency fund, just in case. hmmmmm... sounds like a pretty fiscally sound plan.
