So I take it you agree with me that folks from New Orleans have the right to take up arms and to shoot cops and pols if they suppress their rights?

I don't know enough to say.........I do know that they had best think long and hard about it......first of all, is it worth anybody's life? Secondly, is it worth their own? Because they would end up dead. Sun Tzu said don't fight any battle you can't win.

Because the right exists does not mean it should be exercised lightly.........an armed population is a deterent, not often a solution.

I'm liking you more and more with every post that you make. I don't say that too often of too many people.

Of course, Sun Tzu also said that war was of vital importance to the state... And that under no circumstances should it be ignored. Loosely translated, that means:

Do win the battle you cannot fight.

Which is the polar opposite of the text you paraphrased. An interesting 13 chapters to say the least. ;-)

Possibly.

But isn't it ironic that so many right wingers on this forum have called me ''liberal'' or ''leftist'' so often when it is I who has affirmed genuine conservative principles in cases such as that one --- and they haven't!!

Still, to me, an armed citizenry in that case is the ultimate solution. And anyone who would deny that is no conservative.
