Expected and yet spectacular when it happens Daytona served up another classic smash'em bash'em finish. Chevy leaves with the bragging rights for the second year in a row.

Super happy for Jimmy Johnson who ended up third. He was both good and lucky.

FORD- First On Race Day

But I must admit, I have no interest in watching Hillbillies in cars turn left for 4 hours.

My father has been a Ford man his entire life and I have never been given reason to doubt his logic. The one I let slip away was a 69 Mach 1 with a 428 Cobra Jet engine hooked to a 4 speed. Currently I drive a 64 Econoline Van during summer months and am always on the lookout for parts if anyone should know of.

Agree Logano was fast but he was also the guy that caused the wreck.

69/70 are my fave Mustangs. The CJ package mach 1 is far cooler the a Boss anyday. I still have my 67 Fairlane 427. No idea for 64 parts but Im looking at a rust free 72 Econoline camper van with 44,000 miles on it. Its still has the original brakes.

Logano and Stenhouse both fucked up. Stenhouse hit Joey after being blocked. Both got greedy.

A 72 would be very cool. Price of gas is kind of killing the long distance travel industry but for going to Craven or the football game it's just the ticket.

A quick search says "a new 24-foot motorhome typically costs between $100,000 and $150,000 depending on the brand, features, and level of luxury, with some basic models starting slightly lower and high-end options reaching higher prices".

I bought a nice 76 Vanguard / Econoline special edition a few years ago hoping to get my Dad out of the house once a year but it wasn't my sisters idea and she killed the plan so it is sitting in his back yard in Lockport MB. Asking $5000.

Yeah, my buddy's dad bought it in the US and did some customizing. He ended up selling it to me because he decided to move back to Spain and he didn't feel like paying to have two cars shipped back there.
Post 86 when the first swap kits came out? I looked into it back in the day before the kits came out but I wasnt prepared to cut a new hole in the floorboards and cut the driveshaft in my 100% original 67 Fairlane.

Yeah, the 'stang was a rebuild and I got it in '89-'90. My buddy's dad was really good with that shit. He picked up a Porsche 9-11 at a junkyard for something ridiculous like $7000 and turned it into a $90,000 beauty. When I got the Mustang all the mechanical shit was rebuilt/customized, I just needed to redo the interior and paint the body. Sold it to me for $2200.

They race several road and street courses too. The super speedway races and the mile and a half tracks like Atlanta that race like super speedways are the most fun to watch. Seeing 6-8 cars under a blanket doing 190 mph with a car just inches from their front, rear and both sides can get pretty hairy.
But yeah, some of the short track races are a little tedious to watch.
