Would you happen to be a follower of the original Worldwide Church of God, the one founded by Herbert W. Armstrong? He wrote a book long ago in which he claimed to have identified the ten lost tribes, and you seem to be heading in the same direction he did.

No.Never heard of it until now. Sounds like it would be good for a chuckle. I was going to bring up Smith and his magic hat and the natives of NorAm being a lost tribe.

That would be Syria - Now what is the city of 7 hills?????
Syria? A pipeline over the mountains is a major task compared to going through Jordan. You have to link the S Iraq fields with the North anyway so mid point is parallel with Jordan.

7 Hills is Amman Jordan home of the Ammonites (hashemites)....It's in the quote above. It was even named Philadelphia at one time.

Yep, and that's about all it's good for. It's deeply racist, and some of the sloppiest scholarship I've ever seen. He quite explicitly identified the lost tribes with the "white" civilizations of ten major western cultures, and used Old Testament references to the tribes as a basis for prophecies about them. There are pretty decent articles about him and his wayward son Garner Ted Armstrong on Wikipedia if you're interested. They were among the pioneers of American radio and tv evangelism, setting the tone for much of what followed, including luxurious living and dallying adulterously with much younger women. I clearly remember them both from my youth.
