Several gunmen attack police headquarters in Dallas | CTV News

Wasn't just one guy, apparently it was several men that attacked the police station.

Seriously fukking weird.

Update on CTV website.:
Police say conflicting witness accounts make it difficult to immediately determine how many shooters were involved when gunshots were fired at officers outside Dallas Police headquarters.
Dallas Police Chief David Brown says one man fled the scene being and chased by police in what witnesses described as an armored van.
Police said conflicting witness accounts made it difficult to immediately determine a motive.
Brown said during a news conference that the shootout began about 12:30 a.m. Saturday, when the suspects parked in front of the building located south of downtown and began firing. He said at least one of the suspects fled the scene in a van that rammed a police cruiser before leading police on a chase that ended in an ongoing standoff at parking lot in the nearby suburb of Hutchins, where additional gunfire was exchanged.
Brown said the suspect driving the van has told officers that he blames police for losing custody of his son and "accusing him of being a terrorist." The gunman also said he had explosives in the van, which appeared to be outfitted with gun ports in the sides.
Brown said negotiations with that suspect and the SWAT unit are ongoing. No injuries were reported.

No, it's a criminal act by a mentally ill dumbass.

Terrorism is the act of trying to strike fear in the populous or leadership, to sway its collective will.

This guys cheese had slid off his cracker, lost his son and he was looking to hurt those he held responsible for it.

'Zombie Apocalypse Assault Vehicle' may have been used in Dallas police attack: Report
Postmedia Network
First posted: Saturday, June 13, 2015 12:14 PM EDT | Updated: Saturday, June 13, 2015 12:27 PM EDT
The armoured van that a man used during a daring assault on Dallas Police headquarters Saturday may have been sold on eBay earlier this week.
Described as a "zombie apocalypse assault vehicle," the van closely resembles the vehicle used by the assailant to ram a police cruiser and flee after firing at the building, the Dallas Morning News is reporting.
The van had a Georgia licence plate, and online records indicate that a company in Newman, Ga., sold a similar vehicle on eBay for $8,250, the paper says.
The company that sold it, Jenco Sales Inc., described the vehicle on Facebook as a "Zombie Apocalypse Assault Vehicle and Troop Transport."
"This full armored zombie busting vehicle features convenient gun ports so no zombie juice touches you during a mass zombie take down. It also has benches in the back so you can take turns resting during long Zombie sieges. The tactical step boards are installed for when you only need swords and axes for drive by mow downs," the ad reads.
"The bumpers are made of reinforced steel tubing, so no dents from smashing zombie heads! It's full armor plated and has bullet proof windows just in case you run into other zombie hunting hordes who might try to take this bad boy from you. Like anything, there is a price attached to this fine piece of zombie fighting machinery."
The paper reported that the suspect is believed to be dead after a police sniper shot at him early Saturday.
Police had spent hours trying to negotiate with the man, who identified himself as James Boulware, a 35-year-old with a history of family violence.

CNN's Fredricka Whitfield calls Dallas gunman 'courageous and brave'
LOS ANGELES - CNN anchor Fredricka Whitfield addressed the controversy surrounding her after she called the gunman accused of opening fire at the Dallas Police Department "courageous and brave" on Saturday, explaining the incident on her show on Sunday.
"During a segment on the Dallas Police Department Attack, I used the words 'courageous and brave' when discussing the gunman," she said on air. "I misspoke and in no way believe the gunman was courageous, nor brave."
Whitfield made the comment on Saturday while discussing the incident with a CNN legal analyst.
"It was very courageous and brave, if not crazy as well, to open fire on the police headquarters, and now you have this scene, this standoff. So you believe these are the hallmarks of more than one person's involvement," she said.
The comment immediately sparked outrage on social media. CNN's Brian Stelter said via Twitter earlier on Sunday that Whitfield would apologize for the comment on her show.
The suspect, reported but not confirmed to be James Boulware, is believed to be dead after a standoff with police.
