The father of a 20-month-old boy is charged after the tot was unresponsive when he arrived at a Swift Current, Sask., hospital from overdosing on marijuana cookies, RCMP say.
The boy was "unconscious and unresponsive to medical care" and kept in intensive care for two days, but survived.
Police allege the dad made marijuana cookies and "the boy was given access to the cookies and overdosed on marijuana which caused severe seizures."
The 36-year-old Gull Lake, Sask., father is charged with criminal negligence causing bodily harm, impaired driving, disobeying a court order, possession of marijuana and breach of probation.
He is being held in custody and will appear in court Friday.
