Still nothing to add, eh?

Typical.

Say, seeing how you 'know' so much about this topic, especially as it relates to the divorce rates, hows abouts you quash my position by delivering this hard evidence?

... Yeah, I thought not... Just some more BS and blustering on your part.

You are the one that made the divorce assertion. Back it up. Same with the problems for children.

As for my knowledge of hedonism. With my wife for over 30 years, married over 28, was in the lifestyle for over 20.

Like I said, there are and have been a few members of this forum that have been in "the lifestyle" and are in long term relationships and have very stable, loving family homes.

One of these days dad is going to get caught with his boyfriend.

so? and what do you mean by "caught"?

That was your implication. If not, then why bring up divorce at all. Just like the implication that there would be problems for the children.

Nope, that was your ideological misinterpretation of some very simple words that were posted.

... But how about you provide any support for your, uh, position.

Memo: you'll have to state a position first

Great, now we're getting somewhere... So, let's get back to what got your panties all in a bunch to start with - children

So, in your experience in the lifestyle, is it safe to say that your children saw a net benefit from the lifestyle?.. Maybe even moreso had you not participated in the life (I understand that you can only speculate, but give 'er a try)

That'll depends on how open they are with the kids as they raise a family. I don't care if you are male or female gay lesbian or bi with leanings, we all want to have a family and have a role even if it's as Auntie Jim or Uncle Lena.

That's right, so, why bring up the kids?

I've seen more problems in dysfunctional "monogamous" families than I have in Hedonistic lifestyle families. From my experience, I would say the worst environment for brining up kids is a "monogamous" relationship. With all the drug abuse, and alcohol abuse, and spousal abuse, and cheating, that I have seen in those relationships.

Children really have no impact on this discussion as it pertains to sex between parents. Couples do all kinds of things in the privacy of their bedroom as it is regarded as no ones business but their own. From fantasy and lingerie to role play, oral sex and toys even the church generally takes that stanch now.

I dont really see how parents sex lives could benefit or harm children if it was kept private. It isnt really any of their business. Chances are they dont want to know anything either. I didnt when I was a kid.

Kids are pretty observant and get more so as every day goes by. According to the article, the author (man) indicated that his wife had been on dates 4 times so far during that month. Later, it was also stated that he took his turns as well.

You're right in that it's not the kid's business, but it won't be long, if not already noticed by the kid(s), that one of their parents are gone at least twice a week... Probably only a function of time before one gets up in the middle of the night to see one of the parents roll home looking like one does after knocking boots.

Kid won't really get it (unless they are let in on the deal), but eventually they will.... That is, if the marriage remains healthy and survives.

That said, what these (or any) consenting adults do in terms of their sex lives is completely their business, but I do believe that it is foolish to pretend that their kids won't notice something as time moves on.
