the problem is that the US is not going to invade by force but by coersion. They want our resources, water most notably, and are working to gain control of said resources by having idiot canadian politicians sell canada out from under the current residents (remind you of other similar events in history).

we just have to make sure who ever "we" elect to govern this country ........had better have CANADA's interests FIRST. Anyone too cozy with the US will "betray" us. --or sell us out.

Gotta be someone with the gonads to say NO to the infantile grabby US.......and be able to deal with their sulking behavior afterwards. Gosh, it is hard to believe how IMMATURE .childish the US really is.

and the frightening thing is that the US government and media has done a good job of convincing the US populace of how horrible the UN is.

Ridiculous. The United Nations is an organization admired by most Americans. Why else would we maintain UN headquarters in New York?

Bush, stating about how the UN would become obsolete.

The burning of UN flags in New York. Whatever your UN representative the old-guy's comment about destroying the top ten levels of the UN building.

I don't think it is admired by most Americans. From what I hear, most Americans would like to get rid of the UN.

I'm assuming you have no clue what the US renewable water supply is and are you also under the assumption you own ALL of the Great Lakes?

Really, you need a new line, I'm tired of the old cliche, when is the US going to steal our [insert natural resource here].

what!

have you looked at your own population growth, and migration levels? Have you looked at the US water usage and projection levels?

there is a reason canada is fighting to protect the great lakes. that is because the US has been eyeing seriously depleating them due to the US suffering from water shortages.

Yes I have kid, have you? I don't think you have, otherwise you wouldn't be making these statements. Canada isn't fighting anything regarding the Great Lakes, not only that, but we're also funding the clean up of it, and I'm not referring to pollution either.

then you would recognize that your government sees the future supply of water an issue. go look up the info on the epa and other US fed gov sites. Look up the discussions on the costs of various water supply issues. Desalination, more dams (where you are getting prett built out), etc cost a heck of a lot more than being able to purchase water from canada in a "free market".

Canada is fighting states that are in the great lakes watershed from withdrawing too much water and from water from the great lakes being pumped elsewhere in the US. Why? because the US would draw more water than the system fills with, depleating the resource.

The US SE or SW is in a drought. And Canadian water is the closest resource available so I wouldn't be surprised if a dispute took place over water.

There are aquifers all over the US jersay, 95% of our water is underground. You don't have to be able to see it to know it exists.

Water is an issue to keep it clean and potable, that's why we're spending billions in the Great Lakes so they're won't be a problem in the future.

We currently consume over 400 billion gallons of water per day .

UNESCO (I think, and I'll find the link if I have to) has predicted no water shortage for the US in the foreseeable 25 year future.

We are more in population, but we cannot consume all this water. Need more info? Or should I just give up here?

and perhaps you would like me to provide links to both conservation groups and departments of your own government that address the impending shortage of water the US must face?

go ahead a give up and believe what you want. good thing your government is not doing the same thing.
