Re: COVIDD-19 'Pandemic'

I've been noticing a bit of a coincidence lately. As my opinion of Trump has started to deteriorate, it seems (if possible) Walter's opinion of me has started to deteriorate! How could that be? Think there's a connection? :)
a connection?? Absolutely!! Any good detective would deduce that as well. ;-)

Re: COVIDD-19 'Pandemic'

Came home from working in AB.
Funny that considering most of them had families with them - guess they all go the camps. Whatever. I'm now in isolation again because I went out - no big deal. Got a nice turkey for Easter dinner and will be enjoying all the dishes I can make once the bird has been feasted on.

On another note, the Premier of Nova Scotia Stephen McNeil got so fed up with covidiots that he now famously told them to 'Stay the Blazes Home'. The Stanfields - a Nova Scotian band like the phrase so much they decide to write a song around the phrase. It has really taken off and worth a listen.

I've just got home from work, checked my mailbox and saw a letter in there with a white envelope.

I opened it and the first thing I saw was "10 Downing Street" written at the top of the letter.

It's a letter from the Prime Minister himself.

How cool is that?

Same here. Kids don't care.

Have noticed Quebec license plates here. I would put stock in it but a lot of rental cars here have Quebec plates. Asked the agent once and he just said they wind up with a lot which were registered in Quebec. I wonder if your AB license plates might be something similar? I am wondering if the rental car companies may be playing with costs of registrations in various provinces to save a buck?

Or maybe you do have people coming from AB.

There are a lot of AB's who have cottages in our area, IRBS. A friend of mine owns a resort on Canim Lake and has been getting calls from AB, BC, SK about coming up for the Easter weekend. All our resorts are closed for the duration of the pandemic. He was also met with skepticism when telling them we are still in the grip of winter here. Some people...............sheesh.

Guv. Cuomo said he needed 30,000 ventilators. So far the most being used in NY is around 5,000 and this is supposed to be the peak. Chloroquine has done wonders.

It isn't that #COVID19 discriminates about who it infects, it's the condition of the person who becomes infected that is the problem. Afua Hirsch, #racegrifter in chief at the Guardian, thinks that this means the #coronavirus is #racist. But...that doesn't make sense. At all.

Re: COVIDD-19 'Pandemic'

Just got this observation in an email it is pretty spot on

*SOMETHING IS FISHY!!*
Wuhan to Shanghai = 839 km
Wuhan to Beijing = 1,152 km
Wuhan to Milan = 15,000 km
Wuhan to NY = 15,000 km

The Coronavirus started in Wuhan yet there is no effect of Coronavirus in nearby Beijing or Shanghai but many deaths in Italy, Iran, European countries and USA.
All business areas of China are now safe.
*Something is fishy.*
America is not just blaming China without a reason. Even today, India is locked down but all the cities of China are open. China has also announced the opening of Wuhan from April 08. Not a single leader in China has tested positive for the deadly Coronavirus.
*Something is fishy.*

The virus has ruined many economies around the world. Many have had to close their borders in an attempt to contain and control the spread of the Coronavirus. Thousands have lost their lives, millions have now got this disease, countless people have been locked in their homes and many countries have placed their citizens on lock down.
*Something is fishy.
The Coronavirus originated from the city of Wuhan in China and has now reached every corner of the world, but the virus did not reach China's capital Beijing and China's Economic Capital Shanghai, located in close proximity to Wuhan itself.
*Something is fishy*

Today Paris is closed, New York is closed, Berlin is closed, Delhi is closed, Mumbai is closed, Tokyo is closed, the world's major economic and political centers are closed, but Beijing and Shanghai are open. No Coronavirus effect is seen in either cities. There were only a few cases but the virus had no real effect on Beijing and Shanghai.
*Something is fishy.*
Beijing is the city where all the leaders of China live, including their military leaders. There is no lock down in Beijing.
*Something is fishy*
Shanghai is the city that runs China's economy. It is the economic capital of China, where all the rich people of China live and run major industries. There is no lock down here, there is no effect of the Coronavirus there.
*Something is fishy*
Beijing and Shanghai are the areas adjoining Wuhan. The virus from Wuhan reached every corner of the world, but the virus did not affect Beijing and Shanghai.
*Something is fishy*
Another big thing is, that the worldwide share market has fallen by almost half. In India also the Nifty has gone from 12 thousand to 7 thousand, but the share market of China was at 3000 and just merely dropped to 2700.
*Something is fishy*
This leaves one to speculate that the Coronavirus is a bio-chemical weapon of China, which China used to carry out destruction in the world in order to gain economic supremacy.
China has now put this virus under control, maybe they also have the antidote/ vaccine that they are not sharing with the world ever or will do when it is in their best interest to do so.
*Something is fishy*
Hollywood stars, Australia's Home Minister, Britain's Prime Minister and Health Minister, Spain's Prime Minister's wife, Canada's Prime Minister's wife, and Britain's Prince Charles, among others, have contracted the Coronavirus, but NOT A SINGLE POLITICAL LEADER IN CHINA, NOT A SINGLE MILITARY COMMANDER in China have tested positive for Coronavirus.
*SOMETHING IS FISHY!!!!*

Re: COVIDD-19 'Pandemic'

In the Daily Telegraph, the following post is immediately deleted from comment on a lockdown article (“the Government first has to persuade people”), from the letters page comments and from editorial comment page:

“If the government wishes to persuade people for further lockdowns, they first have to dissuade them from this:

Total deaths, all ages, 2020

12,254 14,058 12,990 11,856 11,612 10,986 10,944 10,841 10,816 10,895 11,019 10,645

3-Jan 10-Jan 17-Jan 24-Jan 31-Jan 7-Feb 14-Feb 21-Feb 28-Feb 6-Mar 13-Mar 20-Mar

(Week-ending)

Total of these twelve figures = 138,916

Total deaths: average of corresponding week over the previous 5 years

12,175 13,822 13,216 12,760 12,206 11,925 11,627 11,548 11,183 11,498 11,205 10,573

Total of these twelve figures = 143,738

https://www.ons.gov.uk/peoplepopula...nalfiguresondeathsregisteredinenglandandwales

There have been no greater fatalities from this bug than from an average year’s seasonal peak.”

Quite extraordinary that the DT invites (it was open for comment) arguments for or against lockdown but deems official statistical information unacceptable for publication.

Trump approval rating dips as Americans question his handling of coronavirus crisis
President Donald Trump's job approval has taken a negative turn as a growing number of Americans harbor doubts about his handling of the coronavirus crisis.

After seeing a late-March spike as the pandemic ravaged the United States, his approval ratings have fallen back to the mid-40 percent range, where they were before the death toll and jobless claims exploded. The latest numbers suggest the surge in job approval ratings that presidents tend to enjoy during a crisis was modest and short-lived for Trump.

Meanwhile, 93% of Britons are supportive of the way Boris is handling it.

I am impressed with how BoJO is handling it. Some positive news is that he is out of intensive care now......and in "good spirits".

He's always in good spirits, is Boris. He's always optimistic and upbeat. If he had both his legs blown off and returned from hospital to find someone shagging his girlfriend he'd still be optimistic and upbeat.

My goodness...I think I recognizance it.Lovely lovely area. ..breathtaking. Have been to Kananskas (sp) Lodge to attend a class reunion.;-)

It really is quite beautiful. The shot in my post is a little further up highway 40 past the lodge, nearer to the summit.

Let's not discourage her ;-) I am looking forward to updates from her as to how her bread project is turning out. ;-)

Bread making went well today, I cut the recipe I was given to make just one loaf in the event it was a disaster, but pretty simple really. And the house smelled great! I did however make a rookie mistake, when I set the loaf in the loaf pan to rise for the 2nd time I covered it with un-greased plastic wrap and it stuck to the dough. And so not a smooth surface on the bread, but that's okay, it looks rustic.
