Conservatives have opened up a clear lead of 6 points nationally. They lead in BC, Alberta, SK/MB, and now Ontario.

Some other fun results from their poll:
top three issues are cost of living, healthcare and economy in that order. Environment/climate change trending down.
Trudeau approval rating - 26. PP approval rating - 5.

So - at this point, in between elections etc any one specific poll really isn't indicitive of what people would really vote. So while it's nice to see it's not all that exciting or anything. That same poll 2 years 8 months from now would be a different story :) but that's a ways away.

However - the CPC have hit this level more than once in the recent past and when you look at the trend lines what becomes clear is that this is a soft ceiling for them. Meaning, it's not that hard for them to hit that level of support - and when they do all the 'extra' support comes from areas where they desperately need it.

The way the CPC support is, you have to get to a certain percent before any gains make any difference at all, but then they make a lot of difference. 34 cpc to 31 liberal is probably a liberal minority. 36.5 cpc to 29 for the libs is likely a weak minority gov't for the CPC. 38 is right on the edge of a majority, probably over.

So what we can say for certain is that it would appear that the CPC is easily within range of winning the next election. With a bit of a push they might well win a majority if they do the right things.

ANd three more years of justin isn't likely to improve the liberal's chances.

Oh - and affordability and healthcare rising while environment falls isn't going to hurt the CPC's chances either :)

Liberals will drag out the dead issue (no pun intended) of abortion, then make something up about CPC wanting a handgun in every mailbox or something… Seen it before and it’s worked with the dim repeatedly.

Assuredly. They will also have to attack him on economics and affordability so lots and lots of 'bitcoin' comments and anything else they can dig up to make him sound poor at economics.

But at some point people have to get sick of all that crap. Even with our retarded left it can't go on forever. One has to wonder if this would be the election where they did get fed up and look for change.

People have to wake up and realize that politics is 24 seven, 365…& not the six weeks before a federal election.

You look at the entire term & not the six weeks of promises.
Intelligent people think that way Ron. You and I might think that way. But when it comes to intelligence, you have to remember that at least 50 percent of people are below average :)

WE've seen this result often before. I think that's a pretty good base to build on, and that the older people will tend to come around as they see PP. Not being as fond of social media, they won't be as exposed to him as the younger people.
