My grade 5 teacher punched me right in the mouth when I was a kid, granted I was waiting for another kid to come out of the schoolyard for a fight, but I was only 11 and he had to be at least 38. I've never forgotten that. I never told anyone, didn't think anyone would believe me. Still remember my teeth clacking together, remember the look of satisfaction on his face when he hit me. That was the toughest school year I ever had.

Yeah, I had a psycho teacher in grade 3. I remember waiting for the strap in the hallway with another kid.....it was my second time that morning, and the other kid's third time. I would have been 9.

That would have been 1963. She only taught that one year. At our school anyway.

I also remember a psycho pys ed teacher at the same school. He would pound the middle school "tough guys" with his fists. Imagine my surprise when I went back 25 years later as a supply teacher to discover this guy was the principal.....

This guy was certifiable. Use to carry on with hour long tirades targeting kids (of which I was one). Used to call me a loser, say I was destined for jail in front of the entire class.

I remember a friend of mine, also 11, called him out in front of the entire class.

He said something like, "How long you going to go on with this?"

That actually shut him up. For that day anyway.

Some people shouldn't teach. He did me one favor, when I became an instructor I used him as the model for how not to conduct myself.

WAY over the top.

Yeah, agreed.

I mean corporal punishment is necessary but that is abuse.

What do you expect, these sports stars have little education, thrust into the spotlight, and trained to play hard.. Society is as much to blam for this.

And yet you tell people that you wish they would eat a bullet.
hmmmm
What back ground have you had to actually say things like that eh?
