Hi everyone, I am looking for people between the ages of 20-30, living in Calgary, love God and have a sound relationship with Him, musically talented and looking for a way to use their skills to serve him!

The vision is to have a group of people who are completely sold out for God collaborating to make honest, straight from the heart, relatable and uplifting music that will reach the hearts of those who hear. It will be a relaxed atmosphere in the band and include gig playing at venues across town. We will be doing some covers but I would really love to work on original music, being a songwriter myself. I am open to styles including R'n'B, soul, soft rock, contemporary rock, reggae, afrobeat, classical and anything that is not Hard-rock or metal.

I am learning to play guitar and piano (extra stress on the LEARNING) but I have a passion for writing and singing, which are my strongest suits and I would love to meet other musicians in the area who share my passion for music.

Let me know what you think. I just think it's time Calgary produced another great christian band, and what better way to reach out in ministry than through doing what we love!

Sorry I do not meet all of your criteria:I neither live in Calgary nor profess the Christian Faith.
That said, I wish you luck. I have heard passages from the KJV put to music so beautifully as to beat any other Christian music I have heard hands down. In English, don't be afraid to tap into that literary gem for verses.

Oh dear, mate. You've made a big mistake coming on this forum. It's a Christianophobic cesspit that makes ISIS look like the Samaritans. You'd be better off going to another discussion forum where you'll get a friendlier reception.

As a Christian myself (Church of England) I'd love to play in that band, but I live 4,197 miles away from Calgary in Bolton and the only musical instrument I've ever played was the triangle during hymn practice and music lessons at primary school.

If he was a Muslim looking to start an Islamic band playing hamd music, the forum's resident numpties would probably be falling over each other to join. But because's he's a Christian, he'll get no joy on here. He'd probably get better luck going on a Saudi Arabian or Iraqi forum.

So Blackleaf, how is this post of mine Christophobic? I love the KJV or, as you Brits call it, the AV.
