Yeah, I'm not impressed either with him or a couple of other contenders for the leadership, ESPECIALLY after their comments about the Alberta Rally.


This is disheartening because it will likely mean another 4 years of Liberals which is likely going to be disastrous for the country. There isn't, to my mind, anyone who seems to want to be a leader. Instead, we have a bunch of wimps who refuse to stand up for their principles and are too afraid to "offend" and speak out against those who "...already hate them". I agree whole heartedly with that sentiment. All we have are a bunch of gutless wannabe leaders when what we really need are real Leaders!

Of course there are different kinds of open borders. In the extreme, everyone shares a common citizenship. Another less open border is an open labour market. When we're talking about an open labour market, the advantages is the same as between provinces. If one province experiences a supply-deficient labour shortage while another a demand-deficient job shortage, workers can freely move to adapt to the circumstances with a minimum of government bureaucracy. This can happen internationally too, especially in IT and other specialized skills, but even more rarely in lower-skilled markets.

That's quite arbitrary. It is based on the non sequitur that a Canadian poses less of a threat to Canada than a foreign national does on the grounds that, well, the Canadian is Canadian and the foreign national is not. I can't see any logic to that whatsoever. Sorry.


It's just as possible that a foreign national visiting Canada could thwart a terrorist attack planned by a Canadian as any other scenario.

I wish the Conservatives would change their rules about the interim party leader not being able to run for the leadership. I am more than pleasantly surprised by Rona Ambrose and her performance in the House. If she were in the running, I would be listening to her plans for the party and what she feels are the issues that are important to Canadians.
