China Makes ‘Extreme’ Threat Over AUKUS; How CCP Controls Chinese People | The Wide Angle

The Chinese Communist Party recently threatened Australia that if it acquires nuclear-powered submarines, it would lose its “privilege” of not being targeted by Chinese nukes. Australia is considering ‘going nuclear’ as part of its AUKUS defense pact with the U.S. and U.K. Is the Chinese Communist Party’s bite as bad as its bark? How seriously should threats verbal and otherwise from the CCP be taken? And are there more covert dangers from the CCP we should be focused on? We explore these questions with Kay Rubacek, author of ‘Who Are China’s Walking Dead: a personal journey into the strange world of communist culture and officialdom,’ and James Gorrie, author of the China Crisis: How China’s economic collapse will lead to a global depression.’

Speaking to host Jenny Chang at the Conservative Minority Conference at Dallas in September, West said the Taliban terror group’s takeover of Afghanistan puts America at risk of higher levels of terrorism, noting that Texas has a “1,254 mile border that is completely unsecured.”

Hypersonic weapons, explained; North Korean prison-break video goes viral | China in

Focus

What’s all the buzz about Beijing’s hypersonic weapons, and why could they pose a nuclear threat to the United States? We break it down in this episode. A 12-year-old girl died after getting a shot of a Chinese-made vaccine. Her mother asked authorities for an investigation into the case, only to be beaten and detained. Chinese journalists must undergo so-called “continuous education” by the state—at least 90 hours every year—to learn how to develop news with a Marxist angle. China has a real-life version of the U.S. crime drama “Prison Break.” Footage of an agile North Korean’s jailbreak in China is going viral. Taiwanese businesses are leaving China, and experts say a bigger wave of retreat is on the way.
