If you were to cancel your cellphone account, what tips and ideas do you have for communicating with friends and family through out the your weekly routine?

Allow me to get started:

- a white board for the fridge
- "don't text me, email me" I have access to a computer at work and home

Probably email is what I would use most often. It is what I used the most before I got a cell phone anyways.

I don't have a cell phone. I tossed it out the window somewhere between here and Moose Jaw 10 odd years ago and life has been fantastic ever since.

"Hey, can I use you phone?" works just fine and phoning Botswana is super cheap when it's somebody else's bill.

I have a tablet with 4G LTE phone functions but have never made a call or text on it. Why ruin a beautiful thing?
